Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich

Match date: Sunday, 17 October 2021

Football – Germany Bundesliga

Venue: BayArena

Bayern Munich Wins & Over 2.5 Goals

Odds: 1.95

Leverkusen appeared confidently in their last Bundesliga clash on the road against Arminia Bielefeld when they recorded a pretty convincing 0:4 victory.

They were simply much more creative with the ball to their feet, scoring two goals in each part of the clash, not leaving much room for the hosts to be more challenging, especially during the second half.

Leverkusen is currently at the 2nd spot in the rankings, sharing the same amount of points as leaders from Munich.

Midfielder Andrich (4/1) is suspended, while injured remain central defender Tapsoba (no performance so far), left-back Bakker (6/1), right-back Fosu-Mensah (no appearance so far) and defensive midfielder Baumgartliner (2/0).

Beyern made a surprising setback last time out at home against Eintracht when they suffered an unexpected 1:2 loss.

They opened the match in a better way and took the lead over Goretzka in the 29th, but only to concede an equalizer only three minutes later.

Honestly, the Bavarians were a dominant side in the continuation, but failed to be more creative with the ball, and paid the price later in the 83rd when they conceded another one.

As mentioned above, Bayern holds the leading spot in the rankings, definitely eager to regain the winning momentum.

The guests miss right-back Pavard (2/0) due to suspension, while injured remains goalkeeper Ulreich (not the first choice of course). Midfielder Tolisso (1/0) might not be ready for all ninety minutes still.

Two offensive styles collide

Even though Bayern is coming here after a defeat, their overall appearance against Eintracht was good, and probably a misfortune played a certain role in their setback. The guests are still better in every game aspect, more than capable to score three alone, and for me, their victory is not questionable.

However, despite their expected defeat in the upcoming clash, Leverkusen has the means to be dangerous, and can definitely spice this one to a certain level.
